Transportation Handbook

Twenty-four million children ride 440,000 school buses every day. On average, students spend 90 minutes each weekday in a school bus. School buses across America are driven more than 4 billion miles each year. In Ohio, 20,000 buses transport 1 1/3 million students daily. The Buckeye Valley Local School District is 197 square miles in area. We transport 2,000 students a half million miles each year with a fleet of around 30 buses. We have 21 daily double routes transporting our students to one high school, one middle school, and two elementary schools.

Our goal is to make your student's transportation to and from school a non-event so they can prepare for their day at school. We have established policies and guidelines to help in this endeavor.  Please acquaint yourself with these guidelines by downloading and reading the Student Transportation Handbook. We appreciate your support in assuring your student's welfare and safety on the bus.
